Chicago, Illinois
Industrial / Manufacturing
24-acres (site work) / 53,000 square-feet (new construction)
$3,200,000
Vader National Electric joint ventured with Lake Erie Electric to install the electrical equipment and infrastructure for Ford Motor Company’s new Kuka Robotics’ collaborative robots (‘cobots’). The cobots assist workers, making their tasks safer, easier, and quicker—for example, the robots can lift and precisely align heavy automotive parts, or reach into difficult to access locations during the assembly process.
With the help of Vader’s prefabrication facility located in Bellwood, IL, the technology-rich project was completed with great speed and accuracy.
Downers Grove, Illinois
Office TI
18,500 square-feet
$500,000
Vader was involved in HIROSE U.S.A.’s monumental Headquarters Relocation project from the initial budgeting stage through project completion. After Schematic Design, it was determined the project was over two times the allocated budget. Vader worked with the Design Team and General Contractor to complete Value Analysis / Design-Assist on the electrical and lighting scopes of work—the overall design intent was maintained, while reducing cost by over 50%. Even high-end features, including the golf simulator and technology-rich conference room were left in scope.
The project was successfully completed on-schedule and under budget—strong collaboration during every stage of design, budgeting, and construction resulted in great success. With construction completed at only $95 per square foot, the client was left with stunning, high-quality office and collaboration spaces at a record-low price.
